The Gospel Class is the first-step for belonging with Fellowship Denver.
The class also breaks into smaller discussion groups, facilitated by a group leader. The group leaders are Fellowship members who can help you get to know the church, introduce you to others, and recommend a good fellowship group to join.
The class is designed to help you become a functional member of the church. We take this seriously. Too many people settle for merely attending church events and miss out on what it means to be the church of Jesus. So we’ll challenge you to think bigger and become a participating member of a church – if not Fellowship Denver, then somewhere.
The next class starts July 11. To sign up, click here.
The class meets for 8 consecutive Sunday mornings, 9-10am (before the worship service).
Gospel Class is primarily for newcomers, though anyone is welcome to attend, regardless of tenure. People who are considering making Fellowship Denver their home church should definitely attend. The class is required to become a member in the church, though taking it does not obligate you to join.
Childcare is available for each class. If you would like for your older children to be in the class, they are welcome to attend with you.
The class covers 3 topics over the course of 8 weeks:
Gospel Module – We clarify what we mean and don’t mean when we talk about “the gospel” and “believing in Jesus.”
Missions Module – We discuss what it looks like to live as a follower of Jesus, using the metaphor of a missionary.
Church Module – We explain Fellowship Denver’s mission and vision, how we’re organized, what our leaders do, and what it means to be a member of a church.
