State of the Church-2010

There are 2 different ways of looking at life: “able to” vs. “called to.” One looks at what we have, where we are, and what we’re capable of. It thinks within the realm of what is reasonably possible. The other looks ahead and asks, “What is God calling us to?” It then lives today in light of that calling, regardless of whether it seems reasonable and plausible. This second way of living is described in various ways in the New Testament. In all of these instances, the theme is seeking for, pressing ahead for, moving toward something that isn’t comfortable but is GOOD and VALUABLE and WORTH SEEKING!
