Proverbs: Wise Like Jesus

Series Description

For the past 3 months, we’ve looked at the basic essence of faith in Jesus. Proverbs is going to take us in a new direction, looking at how we grow as followers of Jesus, getting remade into his image.

And it’s going to surprise us. Did you realize that 99% of the decisions you face in life are not spoken about directly in the Bible? There is no clear teaching on what is “right” and “wrong” for most of the things you do every day. So how do you navigate life as a follower of Jesus? Some resort to legalism - making up lists of rules to fill in the gaps left by Scripture. Others agonize over “what is God’s perfect will for my life?” But the Bible recommends a different way: Wisdom, the ability to read people and circumstances and make smart decisions even when you don’t have a list of rules or a Bible passage to reference.

Most of life is lived this way, which means you CAN’T grow as a disciple of Jesus without wisdom.
