4.14 | PALM SUNDAY PRESENTATION

WHO is involved? All Preschool (4-5 year olds/anyone in the Crazy Apes class) and Elementary Students

WHAT is the purpose?  Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, when we together recall Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, trial, crucifixion, and resurrection.  On Sunday, April 14th, our students will lead us in celebrating Christ, our King and Rescuer.

WHEN is the presentation? During the opening of both the 9:00 and 10:45 am services on Sunday, April 14th. On Sunday, April 14th, all Preschool and Elementary students should arrive at 8:30 am.  Check in your student(s) as usual and then drop them off in the K-1st classroom. Students will share their presentation at the beginning of the 9:00 service and will then return to class where they will stay until AFTER the presentation at the beginning of the 10:45 am service.  Following the second presentation students will return to the Kindergarten & First Grade classroom and will meet their parents there.

HOW will the students prepare?  We will practice in class on Sundays.

AND On 3/31 and 4/7 all elementary students will proceed directly to class after being checked in rather than participating in worship in the service.  Preschool students will gather in the Crazy Apes classroom and will then join the Elementary students to practice the song that we'll be singing.

AND PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE AT HOME.  Head here to listen to the song.  Lyrics are below.

Verse 1

The earth is awakening

The mountains are trembling

The ocean hold their breath, for this holy moment

Verse 2

The heavens stand to their feet

As life like a river springs up

From a thirsty land, collision of God and man

Pre-Chorus

And Holy, Holy is the cry

Of saints and sinners reconciled

Chorus 1

Sing, sing it out, let the earth resound

For the King is here, the King is here

Shout shout it out, for the hope we've found

For the King is here, the King is here, oh

Verse 3

The darkness is breaking now

Drowned out in a sea of stars

Your Church is rising up

With a fire that can't be stopped

Bridge 1

And Holy Holy is the cry

That floods the heaven fills the skies

From the earth unto the throne

Eternal praise to Him belongs

Bridge 2

And Holy Holy is the cry

That floods the heaven fills the skies

From the earth unto the throne

Eternal praise to Him belongs

Chorus 2

Sing sing it out, let the earth resound

For the King is here, the King is here

Shout shout it out, for the hope we've found

For the King is here, the King is here

Sing sing it out, let the earth resound

For the King is here, the King is here

Shout shout it out, for the hope we've found

For the King is here, the King is here

Oh the King is here, the King is here

For the King is here, the King is here
