GO. GROW. SHARE!
Over the past year our Fellowship Denver Kids classes have used a curriculum written and developed by a team of teachers and volunteers who are a part of FDC. Through Go. Grow. SHARE! we’ve learned that Jesus extends to each of us the opportunity to be a part of the family of God, and he calls each of us to be his disciple. When we become one of Jesus’ disciples, he invites us to GO with him on a Great Mission - to take his love and truth to people in our neighborhood, in our country, and all over the world. However, he doesn’t ask us to accomplish such a Great Mission alone! He equips us for this Great Mission through prayer, through the Bible, through the Holy Spirit’s never-ending presence with us, and through his promises; in this way we GROW.
As we look toward the conclusion of Go. Grow. SHARE! on October 8th, our teachers have been asking our students how exactly they can SHARE the love and truth of Jesus with their communities. And our students are putting that question into action!
- Our Crazy Apes have been working on tying fleece blankets for Project Linus which they will donate to patients at Children’s Hospital in October.
- The Leaping Lizards will be putting together care packages on October 8 for homeless individuals.
- The Mighty Ducks..., er, Lions are organizing a neighborhood clean-up day (details to come next week!)
- The Wise Owls just concluded a bake sale during which they raised nearly $1200 for Hope In Our City.
Big thanks to Jen Shepard, Susan Eberspacher, Katrina Dwyer, Kimiko Egy, Amy Jensen, Alison Kroening, Kayla Swenson, Kori Eberle, Jennifer Simpson, and Brittany Puffer for their dedication that turned this curriculum into a reality. God has used your effort to help our students gain a deeper understanding of the gospel and what it means to be a part of Jesus’ Great Mission as his disciple.
