A Welcome From Our Lead Pastor

Hunter Beaumont

Welcome to Fellowship Denver! I helped start the church in 2006 alongside a great team of pastors and founding members. From the outset, we’ve been led by the collaborative efforts of many people who love Jesus and want to help others follow him.

I believe that “home” is where your football team is, and for me that’s the Arkansas Razorbacks. I first came to Denver in 2000 as part of my former career as a CPA. I saw a booming city but I didn’t see many churches in central Denver who were actively trying to help people discover the original Jesus. The Lord used that to call me and some friends to plant a church here.

Since then, we’ve seen Fellowship Denver grow from a living room to a larger church. We’ve also seen many other great churches started and revitalized in Denver, and we’re happy to be in this mission with them.

We always make room for “one more” person because we want all people to know and follow Jesus. Until that work is finished, we’re committed to keeping our doors and lives open!

Our Mission

We help people discover and follow the original Jesus.

We believe that the original person and message of Jesus – though often confused and cluttered over – is the power of God to change our lives now and eternally.

We want to remove as much clutter as possible and help you know him!

What We Believe

Our beliefs are best summarized by the phrase “historic Christian gospel.”

The gospel is the original message of Jesus (Mark 1:14-15) and the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16). It is “historic” in that it was foretold by God in the history of Israel, fulfilled in the person of Jesus, and proclaimed by the early Jesus-movement.

Today, we know the gospel through the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. Practically, this means that we are trying to stay true to an original message and mission. We are not trying to proclaim a new message or a new kind of Christianity. Rather, we are trying to proclaim the original Jesus and follow him in the original way. We do this in ways that are accessible to 21st century Denver, bridging the gap between the original Jesus and modern people.

Our beliefs keep us true to this mission and summarize what the Bible teaches on matters that are core to the Christian faith. We’d love for you to check out our full Statement of Essential Beliefs & Creeds.

Our History

2006

Fellowship Denver held our first worship service on September 10, 2006 at Space Gallery on Santa Fe Drive with 50 people in attendance. In the years after that, we grew and gathered in several temporary locations across central Denver.

2009

Fellowship Denver moved to a rented building at the corner of 18th & Sherman Street near downtown. The “Sherman Street Event Center” became our Sunday gathering space for the next 8 years and saw us grow to hundreds of people from every part of Denver.

2018

In 2018 we moved into our first permanent home at 1990 S. Broadway, the present location of our South Broadway congregation.

2022

In 2022, we launched a second congregation in North Metro to serve Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Westminster, Broomfield and beyond.

2025

In 2025, our North Metro congregation moved into their first permanent building at 5855 Wadsworth Blvd. Today both congregations are still growing and welcoming people to discover and follow the original Jesus.
